Why start with the neck instead of a hang number?
Hang is what a throat produces on a rail. Starting with hang is starting with a photograph of a consequence. On Flagstaff greens the delay of the face matters more than the poster number. We still write hang. We write it second.
Does thin air change which hosel works?
Air does not bend brass. Air changes roll-out. The same stroke that dies in Phoenix often keeps two extra feet here. A plumber column that over-rotates late becomes a leak. A flow that delays the face can use that extra roll instead of fighting it. Read thin air and copper hosels.
Can you turn a plumber column into a flow?
Sometimes. Ellis will look at wall thickness and the existing bend. A cheap zinc hosel is not a candidate. A carbon-steel plumber with enough meat can take a lean. If it cannot, we say so before anyone pays for a fantasy recut.
Do I bring the putter I already own?
Yes. If you leave it in the car we are measuring a rumor. Bring the ball you buy. Bring the shoes you putt in. Range rocks and street soles lie in different ways.
What happens when the courses freeze?
The shop stays open on its clock. The poa strip is indoors. Course checks wait for snowmelt. We will not pretend a January strip is June Continental. We will still log a throat. Snowmelt notes live on the journal.
How long before a new lean feels ordinary?
Most golfers stop noticing the throat in a week of actual holes, not a week of carpet. If it still feels like a stranger after two weeks of Continental or the muni, write the desk. A rail check is ordinary if the recut was ours.
