A lesson talks; a neck is hardware
If your miss is a stroke you have not built yet, a new throat will not invent it. If your miss is a face that jumps on a green that runs out, hardware is the lever. We stay on the hardware side of that line.
Book a lean when
- The same putter that behaved in the Valley leaks here
- You can start the ball and still watch it miss high after the hole
- You already have a stroke you would keep if the ball would die
- You can describe the hosel you own, even badly
Find a teacher when
- The face aims somewhere new every hole
- You change path whenever a friend says “rock your shoulders”
- You want someone to watch your eyes, not your throat angle
- You have never putted on Flagstaff turf for a full season
We will send you away
It happens. A golfer arrives with a beautiful flow and a stroke that is still a search party. We log the throat, write “hardware is not the bottleneck,” and refund the unused half if we stopped early. That is cheaper than selling a recut that would only give the search party a new object to blame.
